ACM VRIC 2016 – Laval Virtual

 LAVAL VIRTUAL 2016, 18th Virtual Reality International Conference

Voici quelques informations sur la nouvelle organisation de LAVAL VIRTUAL 2016, transmises par Samir Otmane (samir.otmane@ibisc.univ-evry.fr), Co-chair ACM VRIC 2016. : 

Cette année nous expérimentons dans le cadre de LAVAL VIRTUAL un nouveau modèle pour la 18ème édition de ACM VRIC 2016. Le modèle choisi a comme finalité d’identifier et de collecter les méthodes et les technologies de RV/RA et de Internet des Objets (présentés par les chercheurs, les industriels, etc.) avec un roadmap pour identifier les besoins actuels et les solutions existantes mais aussi d’identifier les futures recherches et technologies nécessaires dans les différents domaines d’applications ciblés par les 6 Workshops suivants :

Workshop 1: Simulation & Training

Workshop 2: Leisure & Art

Workshop 3: Mobility & Transportation

Workshop 4: Future Industries & New Uses

Workshop 5: Improving health and quality of life

Workshop 6: Avatars and Virtual Bodies

L’organisation cette année de ACM VRIC 2016 est la suivante :

1) Le premier jour 23/03 est dédié aux Keynotes. Ont déjà confirmé :

– Dr. Pattie Maes, MIT Media Laboratory, U.S.A.

– Pr Alain Berthoz, College de France

– Dr. Mark Billinghurst, HIT Lab, NZ 

2) Le deuxième jour 24/03 est dédié aux Workshops. Il est possible de soumettre un papier de 2 pages ou de 4 pages par les permanents et/ou doctorants (les doctorants peuvent saisir cette occasion pour présenter leurs résultats préliminaires et/ou avancés dans ACM VRIC 2016).

3) Le troisième jour 25/03 est dédié à la présentation de la synthèse des roadmaps.

You are cordially invited to consider participating (and submitting a paper if you wish it) in the brand new version of VRIC,

18th Virtual Reality International Conference, to be held during Laval Virtual 2016, the premier European event in the field of Virtual and Augmented Reality.

 

We innovate to create our future! We will imagine and launch together projects that will change our lives. VRIC 2016 will gather 170 specialists in Virtual and Augmented Reality, information system, science and industry, to work together and produce a roadmap towards the future uses of new technologies.

Wednesday, March 2320 invited speakers present their own vision of the future uses of new technologies and the “Laval Virtual Roadmap” they created together during the Laval Virtual Seminar

Thursday, March 246 Workshops, driven by experts in each area, refine the vision and dream up future projects to create a collective document (in a publishable form) presenting the « Laval Virtual  Roadmap » in their specific field.

Friday, March 25: a Final Conference for presenting the outcomes of the Workshops and validating the final version of the ” Laval Virtual Roadmap “.

More than ever, VRIC Laval Virtual is the place to be to participate in the tremendous growth of Virtual and Augmented Reality technologies.

You can also submit a paper (short paper or poster paper) to get the opportunity to introduce your work to the audience. Your paper will be published on ACM Digital Library and in our associated journals, IJVR & JVRB.
